For several years, I wanted to be able to write modern calligraphy, but I never knew how or where to start. Karla's course took all the confusion and frustrations away. I am so happy how I have come so far after completing the course and consistent practice. Karla's course is thorough, very structured, and clear, with many helpful worksheets to steadily improve your calligraphy. I love how she doesn't rush you through it. She helps (and reminds) you to slow down and be mindful of every stroke you make on the paper. I really appreciated this part of the course!

Karla gives a first class beginners course offering everything you need to start your calligraphy journey. The worksheets are fantastic and offer so much room to practice and, along with the guidance videos, these are just brilliant. I signed up to Karlas course having some self taught experience in calligraphy but not enough to maintain consistency in my drills and letters. I enjoyed calligraphy so much i wanted to learn from someone who could start from the basics and teach me all there is to it and i'm so happy i just went for it. The CCC is everything and more. The course structure is handled so perfectly, the layout from the worksheets, the time management guide, even the pace of the videos and lives too. The facebook community is so sweet and helpful (shoutout to the admins for their input too). The CCC has bought peace into my life, it has been a highlight in my days and continues to do so. I have always wanted to learn calligraphy but never knew where to start—what kind of ink, nib, pen, and paper to use. When I heard of the Creative Calligraphy CourseI was hesitant to enroll, but after asking Karla some questions, I was convinced! Not only does this course introduce you to what the proper calligraphy supplies are and tell you where to start, but the Facebook group and live sessions are a great place to receive some feedback on your letters and overall progress. The videos are detailed and walk you through each and every single thing that there is to do, and the homework, albeit optional, is a plus! The homework serves as a review of each section and the feedback you get is super helpful—you get feedback on things like the roundness and size of your letters, and each and every thing. If you're thinking of learning calligraphy, this is the place to do it!

I give Karla’s calligraphy course the highest recommendation! Karla is an excellent teacher, offering explanations as well as close up videos demonstrating the concepts. She also teaches three different options for writing a letter which I liked. Her style is beautiful and artistic- and she is able to teach how beginners like me how to replicate the letters. Her resources were excellent! Practice sheets, recommendations for nibs, posture, hand placement, hand exercises- she covers it all! And in such a calm and encouraging manner! I learned so much!

I've always loved calligraphy, ever since I was a little girl, but I never really learned how to do it properly mostly because I didn't know where to start. My friend suggested we take the Creative Calligraphy Course together since we were both in lockdown due to the pandemic in our respective parts of the country. It was the perfect way for us to reconnect, and to learn a new skill at the same time. What I really loved about this course is how Karla explains the basics very thoroughly via the videos and worksheets in order to establish a good foundation. Having feedback on our 'homework' and being able to get support through IG, FB and email were so key in helping me with my specific questions and challenges.
